The Cherry Project is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization developing a layer one blockchain network optimized for data operations.
Cherry serves as a purpose specific infrastructure for decentralized applications handling data. Built on Substrate, it implements state of the art cryptographic standards to provide for second layer scalability (zkSNARKs), and features a node-level IPFS integration that allows the Cherry Virtual Machine to natively interface with an indexed queryable data storage and referencing facility.
Responsibilities
Create new Substrate artifacts from scratch
Automate the testing of production code
Conduct regular design and code reviews
Develop technical documentation to facilitate collaboration
Design and architecture definition
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and frameworks
Assume ownership of critical components of the codebase
Requirements & skills
1+ year of experience developing, testing, deploying, and validating Rust-based applications
Proficiency in Rust programming language, paradigms, structures, and idioms is required.
Docker and Linux experience
Experience with automated workflows (GitHub), infrastructure API configuration, scalability configuration, and load balancing
Interested in learning more about the Substrate ecosystem.
Participate in the development of the solution's end-to-end architecture.
Working knowledge of cloud services
English communication skills, both written and spoken
At least three months availability
Nice to have
Experience on Polkadot/Parity Substrate projects is a plus.
React and ES6 knowledge
Understanding of the crypto/blockchain space
Understanding of the blockchain protocol and the consensus algorithm
Experience with cryptography and system software development
